This was my first attempt at creating a short film. I have had a minimal amount of video production experience in the past. After the assignment I had become more comfortable with shooting film. Skiing revolves around my life because my sister is an amateur skier and I used to compete as well. It is a nice feeling to be able to incorporate your passions with art and media. Over all, it worked out time accordingly and was a good experience. However, the class was run with great disorganization and minimal feedback.

I am not much of an animator, but I do live for 3D animation. For this project we were assigned to create a scene with a given character. I modeled every prop in the scene except for the actual character, which is a basic mesh. 3D software is interesting to use when animating, so I put all my effort into creating a semi realistic space scene. The character would be training in the scene to improve futuristic fighting techniques. All effects were made in Maya.

Weekend Ready was originally intended to be a gif. In this case I decided to post it as a short video. The assignment given was to make any sort of gif at home. I figured since I had a few friends living with me at the time, this video would suffice. I made the decision to not make the actual bottle bubbled because it draws the viewers attention away from the main point of the gif. Which in fact is the liquor going in the glass. This piece was made in photoshop through the layering of images and video.
